Since launching his Original 12 Lipsticks, François has always believed lips should be “all about fun.” He adds, “With lips more than any other features, I follow a ‘no rules’ approach.” While each formula can be glossed, layered, and swiped on its own, using Precision Lip Liner as a base allows for longer-lasting color (and even more customization).

“Lip liner pencil is meant to define and subtly enhance the shape of the lips. It also serves as a base for lip color and, when paired with balm or gloss, sometimes doubles as a lip color,” says François. “When using pencil as a base, use it to line and fill in the lips before layering on lipstick or gloss.”
